Hiring Process
What You Can Expect
- Submit your Application
After viewing the Job Posting, click the ‘Apply’ tab. If this is the first time you are applying using our online job application, you will need to create an account and select a Username and Password. Need login assistance? Please call Applicant Support: 855-524-5627.
- Initial Background Review
Your application has been reviewed and is now being processed. This process can take anywhere from 1-6 weeks. We have a feeling you'll make it to the next steps in the process, but we will notify you regardless of the outcome so you don't get left hanging.
- Minimum Job Standards Testing
Dependent on the position you are applying for, minimum job standards testing is conducted to screen applicants for basic skill and knowledge requirements of a position before they can move forward.
- Full Background Review
Review of your application including a CVSA (Computerized Voice Stress Analysis Test) and pre-employment checks. Finalization of the full background continues until the final job offer.
- Interview
The Interview stage you will have the opportunity to meet the Hiring Managers. You will be contacted by phone and/or email to have this scheduled.
- Additional Employment Testing
Includes a medical exam that evaluates the candidate’s health and fitness to meet the physical demands of the job and identify any accommodations that may be required. In addition, a psychological evaluation for all sworn and certified deputies, deputy recruits, and communications applicants is performed to assess emotional stability and personality traits that task analyses have determined are essential for individuals working in those positions.
- Final Review
Once the agency has finalized all background information and post-offer employment testing has been completed, a final review and determination of employment is conducted.
